MATH HOMEWORK AND QUIZ

Hello seventh graders

We are having our second quiz of the year (we already had a quiz about the class rules) this Monday August 31st or Tuesday September 1st, depending on your schedule. These are the topics to be evaluated in the quiz:

Metric system units (length and surface)
Customary System (British and American units)
Changing from metric to customary system
Changing from customary to metric system
Areas of squares and rectangles

You will find a couple of word problems in the quiz.

Get ready by studying your notes, reviewing the old homework and solving the following exercises:

Copy the questions and solve them in your notebook:

Rename each unit of measure:

Solve the following word problems

9) Find the total area in meters of 6 squared wooden panels if each measures 5 cm by 7 cm.

10) How many square centimeters of carpeting are needed to cover a floor that is 3 m wide and 5 m long?
